Over five cobras rescued in Odisha’s Nayagarh

More than five cobras were rescued from a temple in Baramula village under Ranpur forest division in Nayagarh district today.

According to report, the cobras were kept at the village temple by the devotees for including them in Danda Yatra festival. The teeth of the snakes were found slashed with sharp weapon.

Acting on a tip-off, the forest officials rescued the cobras from the temple.
