After 11-day summer vacation, schools reopen in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: After an 11-day summer vacation, all schools across Odisha will reopen today.

However, there will be no morning classes. The offline classes will be held from 10 am to 4 pm. Teachers will reach their respective schools by 9.30 am and stay till 4.30 pm.

Earlier yesterday, the School and Mass Education Department issued fresh guidelines in this regard.

Headmasters have been asked to ensure smooth management of the 2022-23 academic year. On the first day today, they will hold a meeting with all teachers to discuss on various matters, including preparation of time tables and lesson notes.

Department sources said steps have been taken to ensure timely completion of syllabus and conduct of examinations.

Besides schools, colleges and universities will reopen from today.

The state Government had announced the summer vacation for schools and other educational institutions from June 6 to 16.
