AIFF picks Somya Rout as physio of U-16 football team

All India Football Federation (AIFF) has selected Somya Rout as physio of the National Under-16 football team for the exposure tour of India U-16 team to Dubai and AFC U-16 Championship 2014 (Qualifier) at Kuwait from September 19 to October 1.

Rout, who has already served as the physio of Football Association of Odisha (FAO), was the physio of state senior men’s football team and participated in the 66th National Senior Men’s Football Championship for Santosh Trophy at Cuttack in 2012. He is currently employed in AIFF Regional Academy at Kolkata.

FAO secretary Sanjay Behera has congratulated Rout on this prestigious assignment.
