Anubhav Mohanty moves ED accusing wife Varsha of evading Income Tax

Bhubaneswar: The ongoing marital discord between actress Varsha Priyadarshini and her husband and actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty has intensified as he moved the Enforcement Directorate (ED) accusing her of evading Income Tax with different names on various documents.

Anubhav in a letter to the Joint Director of ED, Bhubaneswar Zonal Office dated July 7 alleged that his wife has different names like Varsha Priyadarshini Sahoo, Barsha Priyadahshanee Sahu and Barsha Priyadarshini Sahoo being mentioned in documents such as passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card and bank accounts.

Varsha having different sources of income has either never paid tax or paid minimal tax by manipulating figures or evading tax, he said in the letter.

Anubhav further went on to allege that it’s unclear whether the NGO run by Varsha is a registered one or not. The source of funding of the NGO is unknown. She might have been diverting her black money into the NGO, he alleged.

Anubhav has also lodged a complaint with the Cyber Police Station alleging that Varsha was defaming him through various social media accounts.
