Assault on actor Prakruti Mishra: Complaint lodged against Babushaan’s wife

Bhubaneswar: Following high voltage drama caught on camera showing Ollywood actor Babushaan Mohanty, his wife Trupti and actress Prakruti Mishra in a brawl on street in the capital city here, a case has been registered against the star’s wife.

Based on complaint received by actress Prakruti Mishra’s mother Krushnapriya Mishra, a case has been registered at the Kharavela Nagar Police Station against Babushaan’s wife.

“As per the complaint, a few people stopped the vehicle in which her daughter was travelling for work and assulted her physically and mentally. We registered the case in this connection under sections 341, 294, 323, 506, 34 of IPC for further investigation,” told Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh to media.

“Based on the complaint, we have initiated investigation into the incident. The probe will be carried out as per the fact and evidence to be found in the case, DCP said without disclosing details of the case and name of accused.

According to reports, Babushaan’s wife Trupti Satapathy intercepted an SUV in which the actor was moving with his co-star Prakruti Mishra this morning.

Allegedly, she shouted at him dragging him out of the vehicle and manhandled the female actor on a street at Satya Nagar area attracting a large crowd to witness the scene.

In the videos that went viral on social media platforms, Trupti was seen assaulting Prakruti shouting, “you have destroyed my family”.

Unfortunately, not a single person came forward to rescue the actress, rather the locals were found filming the entire act on their smartphones.
