Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today announced its eighth list of three candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls in Odisha.

The BJD has fielded Begunia MLA Rajendra Kumar Sahu from Khurda Assembly seat while Goutam Buddha Das has been picked for Bhograi segment in Balasore district. The party has nominated Pradeep Kumar Sahu for Begunia seat in Khurda district.

Rajendra Kumar Sahu had won from Begunia Assembly seat in Khurda district on a BJD ticket in 2019 while Goutam Buddha Das is the spokesperson of the ruling party.

The Naveen Patnaik-led party has denied tickets to Bhograi MLA Ananta Das and Khurda MLA Jotirindra Nath Mitra for the 2024 Assembly polls.

The 8th list of BJD candidates:

Khurda—Rajendra Kumar Sahu

Bhograi—Goutam Buddha Das

Begunia—Pradeep Kumar Sahu
