BJP announces names of 8 more MLA candidates in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today announced the names of eight more candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Odisha.

As per a press release issued by BJP Central Selection Committee, Dr. Fakir Mohan Naik was fielded from Telkoi (ST) seat, Murali Manohar Sharma from Champua segment, Rabindra Andia from Basta, Banikalyan Mohanty from Basudevpur, Seemarani Nayak from Hindol (SC), Arindam Roy from Salipur, Geetanjali Sethi from Kendrapara (SC), and Prasanta Kumar Jagadev from Khordha, respectively.

“People of Odisha have decided to bring BJP to power. Nothing is impossible. It cannot be said that one who is in power will rule for ever. My contest and winning the election is not an impossible task. I think that it is certainly a challenge for me,” Salipur candidate Arindam said mediapersons.

“Whatever time is left us will be utilised to the fullest extent. BJP has a strong presence in every panchayat and every village in the State. I hope, I will win with a good margin,” Arindam stated.

“This fight will be a battle of every voter in the constituency. They want a change this time. I will put in my best efforts to sort out local issues. I assure the residents of Salipur that I will stand beside them whenever they would need my assistance,” the BJP-fielded candidate expressed.
