Displaying posters of the party’s ‘Mahasangram’ campaign, which seeks to dethrone the ruling BJD by highlighting the series of mega scams it is involved in, the ‘Prachar Raths’ were flagged off by BJP leader and party organising secretary Prasanna Mishra in the presence of senior leader Sameer Mohanty, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma and others.

“The three Prachar Raths will wind their way through the three assembly constituencies in the capital and urge people to attend Amitji’s Maha Jan Samavesh’ at the ground behind Capital Hospital in Unit VI on Tuesday in large numbers,” Mohanty said.

One Rath would move to each of the three assembly constituencies in the capital: Bhubaneswar North, Bhubaneswar Madhya and Bhubaneswar Ekamra, Mohanty said.

“We expect about two lakh people to join the meeting and listen to the speech of Amit ji and support Mahasangram campaign. We are confident that it would be a grand success,” he said.

On being asked about any senior Congress or BJD leaders joining the BJP on the Jana Samabesh day, Mohanty said there were no such programmes scheduled.
