BMC official on COVID duty dies in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Another COVID warrior succumbed to the deadly virus as an Enforcement Inspector of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) died of the disease today.

The deceased has been identified as Prafulla Kumar Behera. He was the Enforcement Inspector of the South East Zone of the BMC.

According to official sources, he tested positive for COVID-19 on August 22 and was admitted to the Aditya Ashwini COVID Hospital in the city for treatment. He breathed his last at the hospital this morning.

He had executed the important assignment of COVID-19 related enforcement activities in the South East Zone. He will be cremated today with Guard of Honor at the Satya Nagar Cremation Ground here.
