Boipariguda IIC in Odisha Vigilance net: Huge amount of unaccounted cash unearthed

Cuttack: Odisha Vigilance unearthed a huge amount of unaccounted cash during searches at the residence of Boiparidguda IIC Susanta Satpathy in Cuttack today.

The officials of the anti-corruption wing seized cash amounting to over Rs 25 lakh (including bundles of Rs 500 and other denominations) in the morning.

Reports said that total Rs 37,27,000 cash (Rs 2,70,000 from his possession, Rs 1,80,000 from his Office chamber at Boipariguda Police Station in Koraput, Rs 3 lakh from his official quarter at Boipariguda, Rs 29 lakh 77 thousand from his official govt quarter at Buxi Bazar, Cuttack) was seized.

Till the last report came in, the counting was underway.

On Monday, a team of Vigilance sleuths caught Boipariguda IIC Susanta Satpathy with Rs 2.70 lakh cash while he was traveling in a private bus to his residence in Cuttack from Jeypore town in Koraput district.
