BREAKING: 6 more COVID patients die in Odisha, toll crosses 50-mark

Bhubaneswar: As many as six more COVID-19 patients died in Odisha, official sources said today. While four of them died due to COVID-19, two others succumbed to other health issues.

Those who died due to COVID-19 have been identified as a 65-year-old woman of Ganjam who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension, a 58-year-old man of Ganjam who was suffering from Tubercular Meningitis, a 63-year-old man of Ganjam who was suffering from Diabetes, and a 58-year-old man of Bhadrak who was suffering from Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease.

Those who breathed their last due to other health complications have been identified as a 42-year-old man of Keonjhar who died due to cancer of the hard palate, and a 88-year-old woman of Bhadrak who died due to pyrexia with acute kidney injury and metabolic acidosis.

With this, COVID toll in Odisha mounted to 52 while 15 COVID-19 patients have died of other health problems till date.

Odisha today also reported the highest single-day spike of 577 fresh COVID-19 cases as tally rose to 11,201.
