Cash worth Rs 8 lakh looted from transport co staff

In a broad daylight heist, two unidentified miscreants looted cash worth Rs 8 lakh from an employee of a private transport company here on Monday.

According to reports, Mahesh Bharadwaj, an employee of Rajesh Road Carrier, a private transport company, was on the way to his office after withdrawing cash worth Rs 8 lakh from a bank when two miscreants intercepted him at the Malgodown over-bridge and looted the cash from his possession at gun point.

They fled the area immediately after looting the cash.

Following a complaint, Malgodown police have started a manhunt to nab the culprits.
