Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev may be sent to jail again as HC rejects bail plea

Bhubaneswar: Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev, who was earlier granted interim bail by Orissa High Court (HC) on health grounds, might be sent to jail again as the court rejected his bail plea today.

The interim bail period of the legislator comes to an end on May 23.

On March 22, the suspended BJD leader was arrested for ploughing his vehicle into a crowd injuring many in Banpur area of Khordha district.

A month after, the High Court had granted him a seven-day interim bail on health grounds.

Later, the court allowed extension of the interim bail twice till May 11 and May 23.
