CII organises first-ever Startup Exposition in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Startup Odisha and AIC NITF inagurated CII Startup Gurukul on 25th May while it will continue till 6th June. CII Startup Gurukul is a 4-day workshop with Startup Exposition for startups. As many as 50 startups participated as exhibitors in this first-ever virtual Startup Exposition in Odisha.

Industry Pitching Session: June 2

Industry Pitching Session was inaugurated by Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, Past Chairman, CII Odisha State Council and Former CMD, NALCO, Independent Director, BALCO and Director General, AIC-NITF. As many as 12 sector industry leaders have pitched to the Startup Ecosystem about their needs and requirement so that the startups will be getting ready with their innovation and present to the industries. Master Classes: Design Thinking, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & How to Raise Funds: Jun 3

The Master classes were designed for the startups to enlighten their views and upgrade their learning to the next level. All the eminent speakers had shared their best possible knowledge & experience with the startup ecosystem. The session was wonderfully moderated by Mr Sakyasingha Mohapatra, Chair Innovation Yi Bhubaneswar Chapter & MD Sakrobotix Pvt Ltd. The Master Classes were :- Vision of Startup Odisha by Ms Sanjukta Badhai, Evangelist, Startup Odisha who discussed about the policies of Startup Odisha and the Vision. Master Class on Design Thinking by Mr Shrutin Shetty, Director, Rattl [Crystal Planet Labs LLP] who discussed about how design thinking helps in planning and executing. Master Class on Artificial Intelligence by Mr Alok Mishra, Founder Wesense.ai who discussed about the new technology knowhow. Master Class on Robotics by Mr G Praveen, Marketing Head, Gridbots Technologies Pvt Ltd have shown the evolution of Robotics in Industrial use. Master Class on How to Raise Funds by Mr Dilip Bidani, Mentor (Circle of Angels) have sensitized all the startup about how to raise funds and maintain their finance in all best possible way.

Reverse Pitch by Incubators and Accelerators:  June 4 

The day started with paying Tribute to Late Shri Dr Bijay Sahoo, Convener CII Odisha Education Panel and Eminent Educationist. The Reverse pitch is designed to help the startup ecosystem to know the best practices and the objectives of the Incubators and Accelerators. The Session was moderated by Mr Koutsav Das, CEO, AIC NITF with other panelists : Ms Nemesisa Ujjain, Project Director – Innovation, Hunch Circle Pvt Ltd, Mr Sameer Malik, Director of Operations, Alliance for Commercialization and Innovation Research, Mr Ashutosh Mayank, Managing Partner, Supply Chain Labs & Mr Pranav Chaturvedi, Venture Builder, Favcy.

Valedictory Session : 4 June 2021

Ms Jayashree Mohanty, Convenor CII Odisha Innovation Panel & President Luminous Infoways  Pvt Ltd, had initiated the meeting and welcomed all the panelist. The Keynote address was delivered by Mr Ranjan Mohapatra, Past Chairman CII Odisha State Council & Director (HR) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd who congratulated CII for this initiative and urged the Industries to help the Startup ecosystem. Mr Md Sadique Alam, IAS,  DIrector of Industries and CEO Startup Odisha has delivered the special address to the Startups about the new initiative which Startup Odisha is doing and also thanks CII for the effort for CII Startup Gurukul event and for future collaborations. Mr Alam also mentioned about the O Hub initiative which will be shortly launchd. Mr Siddharth Garg, Co Chair Yi Bhubaneswar Chapter & Managing Director Capital Ford had discussed about the scope of work which Yi Bhubaneswar chapter can help the Startup ecosystem. And at the last  Mr Sudhir Jaiswal, Co Convener CII Odisha Innovation Panel & President & CEO, Enterprise System Solutions Pvt Ltd had concluded the meeting and taken everyone to the CII Startup Virtual Exposition.
