Cold wave in Odisha: 8 places record below 11 degree C; Daringbadi coldest at 6.5

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave continues to grip several parts of the state with Daringbadi, considered as the Kashmir of Odisha, recording the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours.

As per the Regional MeT Centre, eight places across the state experienced night temperature below 11 degree Celsius.

Besides Daringibadi, Phulbani recorded the minimum temperature of 7.5 degree C, Koraput 9 degree C, Titilagarh 9.3 degree C, Jharsuguda 9.6 degree C, Keonjhar 9.6 and Sundargarh and Bhawanipatna 10 degree C, each.

The night temperature decreased to 12 degree C in Cuttack and 12.2 degree C in Bhubaneswar.

Other places that recorded minimum temperature below 15 degree C are–Balasore (12.3), Paradip (14), Gopalpur (14.2), Baripada (12), Angul (11.6), Sambalpur (12.2), Hiirakud (11.4), Talche (13), Balangir (11.5), Malkangiri( 13.5), Sonepur (13.2) and Nayagarh (12).
