Country liquor seized, four arrested in Odisha’s Nayagarh  

Daspalla: Excise officials seized 22 litres of country liquor and arrested four persons, including a woman in this connection following raids in Daspalla of Nayagarh district last night.

During a patrolling, the team led by Excise Sub-Inspector Satya Narayan Dash seized total 22 litres of country liquor from four houses at Kutibari and Gurah villages under Daspalla block in the district late last night. The excise sleuths also arrested four persons in this connection and forwarded them to court.

In a similar incident, excise officials raided a country liquor manufacturing den in a forest near Kulurukumpa and seized 240 litres of Pocha (an ingredient used for producing country liquor) and other items from the spot. However, no arrest was made in this connection.
