COVID-19 claims 19 more lives in Odisha; toll surges to 8,594
Bhubaneswar: Another 19 persons infected with COVID-19 died due to the virus in Odisha, informed State Government today.
The fatalities were reported from 11 districts including red zone Khordha that registered the highest 5 deaths.
Other districts included Angul-2, Bhadrak-1, Cuttack-1, Dhenkanal-1, Ganjam-3, Jajpur-1, Keonjhar-1, Mayurbhanj-1, Nabarangpur-2 and Puri-1.
Here’re details of death cases shared by the State Health & Family Welfare Department:
Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:
1.A 66 years old Male of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease.

4.A 83 years old Female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
5.A 58 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.
6.A 80 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.

9.A 65 years old Female of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Acute Myelogenous leukemia.
10.A 52 years old Male of Ganjam District.
11.A 40 years old Male of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

14.A 45 years old Male of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease.
15.A 48 years old Male of Khordha District who was also suffering from Carcinoma Lungs, Hypertension.

With fresh deaths, the total number of fatalities due to the virus increased to 8,594 in Odisha so far.
Meanwhile, daily COVID-19 cases started declining in Odisha with 4,843 fresh infections in last 24 hours.
