COVID-19 claims 19 more lives in Odisha; toll surges to 8,594

Bhubaneswar: Another 19 persons infected with COVID-19 died due to the virus in Odisha, informed State Government today.

The fatalities were reported from 11 districts including red zone Khordha that registered the highest 5 deaths.

Other districts included Angul-2, Bhadrak-1, Cuttack-1, Dhenkanal-1, Ganjam-3, Jajpur-1, Keonjhar-1, Mayurbhanj-1, Nabarangpur-2 and Puri-1.

With fresh deaths, the total number of fatalities due to the virus increased to 8,594 in Odisha so far.

Meanwhile, daily COVID-19 cases started declining in Odisha with 4,843 fresh infections in last 24 hours.
