COVID-19: Puri Gajapati, family to remain in self-quarantine

Bhubaneswar: Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb and his family will remain in self-quarantine for 14 days as they returned to the state capital from the USA on March 15.

The family had gone to the USA to attend several programmes in Jagannath temples in various cities.

After reaching, the family also registered online in the state Government’s COVID-19 Portal. The family is currently staying in their Bhubaneswar residence taking precautions for maintaining good health in view of the highly-infectious virus outbreak.

The King has also appealed to people, who arrived in Odisha from abroad on or after March 4, to immediately register in the Government’s COVID-19 portal and remain in home isolation for at least 14 days.

Earlier today, five more districts- Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Bhadrak, Gajapati and Mayurbhanj imposed prohibitory orders under Section-144 to check spread of the highly-infectious disease.
