Covid surge: This retail store in Odisha Capital sealed for 7 days

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) authorities today sealed Reliance Trends store at Sahid Nagar in Janpath of the city after detection of Covid-19 positive cases at the store during past few days.

The municipal corporation said the store has been sealed for seven days from April 29 to May 5 in larger public interest and to contain the spread of the Covid.

“No one shall be allowed to move into or from outside the premises of Reliance Trends, Sahid Nagar, Janpath, Bhubaneswar during the period of sealing, except authorized personnel of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation,” in an order BMC stated.

The Store Head of Reliance Trends, Sahid Nagar was directed to sanitize the premises with immediate effect in adherence to the guidelines issued by the Odisha government and the Government of India. Also, the Store Manager was asked to intimate BMC in case of symptoms observed in staff, other than those already detected positive for their testing and isolation.

The detected positive cases have been directed to remain in isolation at their respective residences. In case any positive case needs medical attention, the Store Manager of Reliance Trends, Sahid Nagar will intimate the same to BMC immediately.

“In case of any emergency, the Store Manager of Reliance Trends, Sahid Nagar is to contact BMC Control Room (Mob: 7847873040) or 1929 for immediate assistance,” the order mentioned.
