Curfew-like situation imposed in entire Bhadrak district

Bhubaneswar: After Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and Jagatsinghpur, order for a curfew-like situation has been imposed in entire Bhadrak district, which has been classified as ‘Red Zone’ by the state Government, to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

The curfew-like situation will prevail imposed in the district from 7 pm to 7 am everyday till completion of the nationwide lockdown on May 17, said Collector Gyana Das.  As per the order, normal operation and public movement will be restricted during the time, expect emergency services like hospitals and medicine stores.

“Movement of individuals and all non-essential activities will remain strictly prohibited between 7  pm to 7 am throughout the district, both in rural and urban area. Persons found violating the order shall will be prosecuted under Section-188 of CrPC,” said an order issued by the district Collector.

All lICs of the district have been directed to promulgate and enforce the order in their respective police station areas, the order stated.
