“The new variant is spreading alarmingly in other countries. The transmission rate of Omicron is much higher than that of Delta variant. Hence, it has become a major cause  of concern for World Health Organisation (WHO). But do not panic. Omicron can surely be avoided, if we all remain cautious from now onwards,” the CM stated.

The state Government will be able to fight the possible third wave with everyone’s cooperation, the CM stressed.

Earlier yesterday, Director of Public Health Niranjan Mishra informed that total 8,880 people have returned to the state since November and around 1,600 of them were from ‘at-risk’ countries.
