Bhubaneswar: Sharing fresh information regarding the DRDO espionage incident, Odisha Crime Branch today informed that the 'mysterious' woman used to talk with the accused by changing her voice through a mobile application.
Crime Branch sources said the woman operative had asked the accused to change their SIM cards. The accused had asked them to share OPT by clicking a link and once she receives it, she gets access to 'secret' link containing vital information about the high-security defence installation.
The five accused were under the scanner of woman operative for the last one year. She had also managed to hack the mobile phone of one of the arrested persons and been keeping an eye on his movement for around eight months, the sources added.

Earlier this month, the Crime Branch had revealed that the woman operative had seven Facebook accounts under different names. She was in contact with the five accused through social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook on regular basis. She even had proposed two of them for marriage.
On September 14, the Balasore police had arrested the five accused on charges of sharing classified defence information with unknown foreign agents, who are suspected to be from Pakistan.
