Earthquake hits Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Baripada: Mild tremors were felt in different places of Mayurbhanj after an earthquake of 3.9 magnitude hit the district in the wee hours today, informed National Centre of Seismology

The epicenter of earthquake was 19 km Southwest of Kuchaiburi in the district.

“The earthquake occurred at 2:13 AM. However, no damage or loss of life was reported,” informed officials.

However, another earthquake of magnitude 2.6 on the Richter scale occurred at 3:10 am today in Pithoragarh of Uttarakhand.
