Engg colleges, technical universities in Odisha to reopen from Jan 11

Bhubaneswar: In view of improvement in COVID-19 situation in Odisha, the State Government has decided to reopen the engineering colleges and technical universities from January 11, 2021, for the final year students

The Government after careful consideration has directed all the technical universities, engineering/professional colleges, diploma/post diploma institutions of the State under the administrative control of the Skill Development and Technical Education (SDTE) Department to commence their physical classroom teaching for the final year students of PG/UG/Diploma/Post diploma programmes, an order stated yesterday.

The classes will resume following a standard operating procedure.

With the decision, the technical and professional institutions will reopen in the State after nine months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic.
