Family leaves village in Maoist fear in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A family of Jantri village in Chitrakonda block of Odisha’s Malkangiri district had to leave their home after Maoists threatened them to do so.

According to reports, the Maoists at a praja court held at the village yesterday suspected Sana Pangi as a police informer and asked him to leave the place along with his wife and 10-year-old daughter.

The red rebels threatened him of death punishment against disobeying their decision.

The extremists also alleged that Sana’s son, who stays and works in Andhra Pradesh, is passing information to cops about the movement of Maoists.
