Following detection of 3 COVID cases, BOSE students stage stir demanding online exam

Cuttack: With several educational institutions across the state reporting  COVID-19 cases one after another,  students of Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) here took to streets demanding cancellation of the offline examination, scheduled to be held tomorrow, in apprehension of spread of the virus.

The students resorted to the protest after three students from the educational institution contracted the virus recently. They demanded that  the scheduled exam be held online.

Holding placards, burning tyres and shouting slogans, hundreds of students staged protest outside the campus. They also demanded sanitisation of the entire campus, including  hostels, and COVID-19 test of all students.

Alleging negligence on the part of the college authorities, the students said in stead of ensuring COVID-19 test of all students, the college authorities are trying to suppress the matter.
