Former Odisha CM Hemananda Biswal hospitalized

Former Odisha Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal was today admitted to VSS Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla following a complaint of chest pain.

According to sources, Biswal was rushed to the premier government-run referral hospital this morning after he complained of angina and uneasiness.

Biswal has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Cardiology department in the hospital and his condition is stated to be stable, sources said.

He was returning after attending a programme at Thakurpada under Kirimira block following which he was admitted to Jharsuguda Sadar Hospital yesterday night. As there was no marked improvement in his health condition, he was shifted to Burla.
