Girl found dead in Odisha’s Malkangiri; rape, murder suspected

Malkangiri: A 15-year-old girl was found dead at a forest near Bhejangwada village under Kalimela block of Odisha’s Malkangiri district last evening.

Though the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the deceased was raped and then murdered as the body was found with torn clothes.

According to reports, the girl went missing on Monday and her family members were suspecting that she was kidnapped.

Locals last evening spotted the body at the forest and informed the family members.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation.
