Heat wave: Odisha capital hottest again, rain respite likely on June 25

Bhubaneswar: Odisha continues to reel under intense heat wave conditions as mercury soared above 40 degrees Celsius in at least 13 cities of the state.

Capital city Bhubaneswar remained the hottest place in the state for the third consecutive day with highest temperature of 42.2 degrees Celsius.

Denizens of the city had a harrowing experience amid scorching heat wave today. While many preferred to stay indoors, pedestrians and commuters suffered under the blazing sun. The situation was similar in several other parts of the state as well.

On the other hand, the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar today predicted that the South-west monsoon is likely to be active between June 23 and 25. The intensity of rainfall is likely to increase from June 25, it forecasted.
