Bhubaneswar: With monsoon trough prevalent and owing to a cyclonic circulation over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh at 3.1 Km above mean sea level, at least five districts in Odisha will witness heavy rainfall at one or two places during the next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar issued Yellow Warning for the next five days, today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD regional centre mentioned, “Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal, and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.”

The highest maximum (day) temperature of 34.8oC was recorded at Sambalpur and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 21.0oC was recorded at Boudh in the plains of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Nabarangpur.

For Thursday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 13.07.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 14.07.2023)

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul and Dhenkanal.
