Hotels in Puri asked to tighten restrictions for tourists from 5 states

Puri: As part of the precautionary measures in the wake of resurgence in COVID -19 cases, Puri district administration directed all hoteliers to tighten restrictions for visitors coming from five most-infected states.

At a meeting, the district Collector asked the hotel association to impose restrictions on tourists visiting the pilgrim town from states like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Punjab and Maharashtra.

The  hoteliers have been asked to allow visitors from the five states for check-ins only after they produce RT-PCR negative report, not older than 72 hours. If the tourists do not have their recent  RT-PCR negative repot, they will have to undergo seven-day home isolation.

Collector Samarth Verma further cautioned that action will be taken against hotels found violating the order.
