Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express to run from May 15

Bhubaneswar: Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will start operating from May 15, reports said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the semi high-speed train from Puri Railway Station, virtually. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be present at the Puri Railway Station during the flagging-off ceremony, reports added.

The East Coast Railway authorities were yet to make an official announcement in this regard.

The trial run of Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express had started on April 28.

The stoppages for the trial run were Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda between Howrah and Puri with halt of two minutes at the stations.

The Vande Bharat Express will operate between Howrah and Puri, with fewer stops in between.
