IAS Officer Vishal Dev gets additional charge as Principal Secy of Odisha Electronics & IT Deptt

Bhubaneswar: A week after former IRTS Officer Manoj Kumar Mishra resigned from his post of Principal Secretary to the Electronics and Information Technology department in Odisha Government, IAS Officer Vishal Dev was given additional charge of the department.

As per an official notification released by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, Vishal Kumar Dev was allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Electronics & Information Technology Department, Odisha.

The 1996-batch IAS Officer is currently serving as the Principal Secretary at the Finance department with an additional charge of Principal Secretary at the Energy department and Chairman of GRIDCO.

On June 4, the day election results were announced, the 2000-batch IRTS Officer Manoj Kumar Mishra resigned from his post as the Principal Secretary of the Electronics and IT department. He was appointed to the post by the then Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government on a contractual basis following his resignation from the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) in 2022.
