IAS reshuffle: Smruti Ranjan Pradhan appointed as Collector of Gajapati district

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today effected a brief reshuffle in the IAS cadre. Accordingly, Smruti Ranjan Pradhan was appointed as Collector and District Magistrate of Gajapati.

“No.GAD-SER1-ESTT-0001-2016-17979/AIS.I, Shri Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, IAS (NSCS-2012), Director of Fisheries, Odisha, Cuttack with the additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation Ltd, Bhubaneswar is appointed as Collector and District Magistrate, Gajapati vice Shri Lingaraj Panda, IAS transferred,” a notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievance Department in this regard mentioned.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 20(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act II of 1974), the State Government do hereby appoint Shri Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, IAS as the District Magistrate in the district of Gajapati,” the notification read.

Similarly, the present Collector and District Magistrate of Gajapati Lingraj Panda was appointed as Director of the Social Welfare, Women & Child Development department.
