Justice SK Mishra appointed as acting Chief Justice of Uttarakhand HC

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on basis of the recommendations of the Chief Justice of India has appointed Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra as acting Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court.

Justice Mishra, who is the senior-most Judges of the Uttarakhand High Court, will perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the HC from December 24, 2021.

Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Chief Justice of the high court is retiring on December 23, 2021 following which Justice Mishra will take charge as the acting Chief Justice.

In October, Justice Mishra was transferred from the Orissa High Court to the Uttarakhand High Court.
