Mahanga quintuple murder: Post-mortem report reveals no deceased intoxicated

Cuttack: None of the five family members of Alekha Sahu of Kusupur village under Mahanga  police limits in Cuttack district was poisoned nor intoxicated before being killed by accused Siba Sahu, revealed the post-mortem report that arrived today.

Quoting the report, Cuttack Rural police said injury marks found on several body parts of all the deceased indicate use of a sharp weapon in the quintuple murder. All of them had resisted the attack.

Earlier on April 17, accused Siba was sent to jail after completion of his three-day remand period.

He was produced before the official residence of Salipur JMFC, where the Judge sent him sent him to Salipur Sub-jail as the cops did not appeal for extension of his remand.

During his three-day remand, police had conducted crime scene recreation in presence of Salipur SDPO Bimal Barik and Mahanga police station IIC Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.
