Man axed to death over property dispute in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly axed to death by five persons  over property dispute in Sikabeda village of Panasadiha panchayat under Anandpur block in Keonjhar district. The incident occurred on late Friday night.

The deceased is identified as 35-year-old Dubura Purti .

As per information, Purti’s family, yesterday, engaged in an altercation with another family of five members over property issue. The situation later went beyond control and they attacked Purti with axe who succumbed to his injuries.
A complaint regarding the incident was registered with the local police who immediately reached the spot and arrested the accused. Alongside, they recovered the body and sent it to Anandapur hospital for autopsy.

Police are running further investigating into the incident.
