Man kills parents after dispute in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A shocking incident unfolded at Basira village under Champua police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district today as a man allegedly murdered his parents after a dispute with them.

The deceased have been identified as Gora Munda and his wife Pali Munda.

According to reports, a verbal altercation erupted between the couple and their son Dhyana Munda over a family issue, this morning. The situation escalated when Dhyana used a sharp weapon to attack his father, resulting in his immediate death.

Pali, attempting to intervene and protect her husband, also suffered severe injuries. She was taken to the local sub-divisional hospital, where she breathed her last during treatment.

Police have arrested the accused and started an investigation into the matter.

The bodies were recovered and sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
