Maoists damage three EVMs, snatch another in Malkangiri

The Maoists damaged three electronic voting machines and snatched another in the Mathili block of Malkangiri district in Odisha this afternoon.

According to reports, the left wing ultras intercepted the polling party at Jodambara village and damaged three EVMs.

The incident took place while the polling officials were on their way to the district headquarters with the EVMs after conducting the polls.

In another incident, the red rebels snatched an EVM from the polling party at Polasari village under Mathili police station limits while they were returning after conducting polls in their respective booths.

Following information, security personnel have rushed to the spot and begun a massive manhunt.
