No permission for Ganesh Puja at mandaps in this Odisha dist

Jagatsinghpur: No permission has been given for the celebration of Ganesh Puja at mandaps at the community level in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district.

The district Collector has issued an order in this regard stating that any violation shall attract penal provision under the Disaster Management Act and Section 188 of the IPC.

The decision has been taken to check the spread of COVID-19.

Earlier, a similar decision was taken by the Bhadrak Collector for the district.
