Odisha Plus Two exam commences

Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus Two Examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha commenced from today and will conclude on March 30.

As many as 3.69 lakh students have been enrolled to appear for the exams at 1091 centers across the state.

While students of Science and Commerce streams appeared for MIL (Odia) paper on day one, Arts students will appear for the same tomorrow.

The CHSE has decided to conduct the exams under CCTV camera surveillance to prevent question paper leak. However, 140 centres have failed to install CCTV cameras and those centres will be treated as sensitive ones, an official of the CHSE said.

Following reports of circulation of Matric exam question paper photos on social media, the council has banned usage of smart and digital watches by examinees at the exam centres. However, they are allowed to use normal wrist watches.
