Odisha Assembly adjourned till tomorrow as uproar continues

Speaker Niranjan Pujari this afternoon adjourned the Odisha Assembly till tomorrow after pandemonium showed no sings of abating after the first adjournment till 3 pm.
assemblyTrouble broke out in the House, as it has done on each of the preceding 11 days, immediately after Question Hour started.

The Speaker was forced to adjourn the House as members from both the ruling party and the opposition rushed into the well of the House shouting slogans and waving banners and placards as soon as Question Hour began.

Pujari was heard shouting question numbers at the top of his voice to make him audible above the din.

There was no let up in the slogan shouting even after the House reassembled after the first adjournment at 3 pm, forcing the Speaker to adjourn it till tomorrow.

The House was adjourned for the day yesterday afternoon after the Appropiriation Bill was passed amid uproarious scenes.

Tthree other important bills – the Cooperation Amendment Bill, the Indian Stamp (Odisha) Amendment Bill and Survey and Consolidation Bill – were also introduced in the House yesterday amidst pandemonium.
