Odisha: Blackbuck population increases to 4,082

Bhubaneswar: Good news for wildlife lovers as the number of blackbucks has significantly increased in Odisha.

The blackbuck census has recently concluded in Odisha and the number rose to 4,082, informed Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) (Wildlife) Sandeep Tripathy here today.

The government has decided to relocate the blackbucks from Ganjam to Puri and Chandaka, he said.

He said that there is no blackbuck at Puri-Konark Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary.
