The Met department has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall across north Odisha on Sunday while predicting extremely heavy rainfall in some parts of interior Odisha on July 22.

The SRC’s office said it had asked all district level officers to remain present at theire respective headquarters as continuous heavy rainfall could result in flood in a number of rivers in the state.

In its advisory, the SRC’s office has also asked the districts to ensure boats are kept ready in flood-prone areas to tackle the eventualities following the possible flood situation.
