Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today condoled the martyrdom of two SOG Jawans, who died in an exchange of fire with Maoists in a forest near Sirki village under Belghar police limits of Kandhamal district today.
Patnaik took to Twitter and expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of Debashish Sethy of Angul and Sudhir Kumar Tudu of Mayurbhanj. He said Odisha will remember the sacrifice of its brave sons.

In the exchange of fire that took place at around 11 AM yesterday, five Maoists were gunned down by two composite teams of SOG and DVF. Initially, four bodies of Maoists were recovered from the spot. During the combing operation following the encounter, the security personnel recovered another body of a Maoist.
