Odisha COVID patient dies of AIDS

Bhubaneswar: A 53-year-old COVID-19 male patient of Odisha’s Khordha district died of AIDS, official sources said today.

“Regret to report that an HIV positive male aged 53 years of Khordha district, who also tested positive for COVID, succumbed to HIV-AIDS,” the Health Department said.

Deaths of as many as seven COVID-19 patients were reported today in the state. Out of the seven persons, six died of COVID-19 while the 53-year-old man of Khordha died due to AIDS.

With this, COVID toll in the state mounted to 48 while 13 COVID patients have died due to other health complications till date.

The state today also reported 527 fresh COVID-19 cases as tally rose to 10624.
