Odisha Engineer held with over Rs 10 lakh cash; search ops on

Malkangiri: Odisha Vigilance officials seized more than Rs 10 lakh cash from Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer, Rural Works, Malkangiri here today.

Acting on a credible information that Dash was travelling in a vehicle with the ‘ill-gotten’ cash to deposit the money in a bank, officers of the anti-corruption agency intercepted him at around 12.15 pm.

During search, Rs 10,23,970 cash was found from his possession.

Following the incident, simultaneous searches were carried out by the Vigilance at his residential quarter, office and other places in Malkangiri.

Further probe was underway.
