At Naraj, the inflow of Mahanadi floodwater was 11.13 lakh cusecs per second at 3 PM today, official sources said.

Floodwater of Mahanadi and Kathajodi was flowing above their At Jobra and Naraj respectively, the sources said.

Meanwhile, Hirakud dam authorities, who had closed three gates of the reservoir in the morning hours, closed five more gates in the afternoon considering the inflow of less floodwater from the upper catchments.

A total of 30 gates now remain open in the reservoir, reports said.
