Odisha govt appoints new Collector for Dhenkanal

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today appointed IAS officer Amrit Ruturaj as the new Collector and District Magistrate of Dhenkanal.

Ruturaj, a 2015-batch IAS officer, was serving as the Labour Commissioner of the state.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 20 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act of 1974), the state government do hereby appoint Amrit Ruturaj, IAS, as the District Magistrate of Dhenkanal, said a notification issued by the General Administration department today.

Notably, the Election of Commission of India (ECI) had ordered the transfer of Dhenkanal Collector Manoranjan Mallick yesterday.
